Enterprise Welcomes Nicholas Insley as Senior Consultant, Corporate Communications and Public Affairs

Toronto, ON – Enterprise Canada is delighted to welcome experienced campaigner and communications expert, Nicholas Insley as Senior Consultant, Corporate Communications and Public Affairs.

Previously serving as Director of Communications for Ontario’s Minister of Education, Stephen Lecce, Nicholas has extensive experience in stakeholder management, crisis communications, issues management, and executive communications gained in one of the most public portfolios during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Nicholas has the depth and range experience to effectively connect with key audiences, build public support and navigate any crisis across industries,” said Jason Lietaer, President, Enterprise Canada. “The calm in the storm, Nicholas is the type of person our clients want in their corner no matter the issue or odds.”

A committed Tory activist for the better part of two decades, Nicholas has campaigned across Canada and in the UK, helping him build an extensive network of relationships across jurisdictions. His political experience includes four years working in the Harper Government, including as Director of Communications to the Minister of State (Western Economic Diversification) and running for office, placing second in one of Canada’s tightest races.

Nicholas has also worked in the private sector as an advisor to C-suite executives and a public affairs expert. At Seaspan Shipyards, one of Canada’s largest shipbuilders, he led a comprehensive audit of the company’s communications efforts, a major rebranding initiative, and the company’s largest advertising buy to date – targeted at key federal and provincial decision makers.

Nicholas holds an undergraduate degree in economics and English literature from the University of British Columbia and earned his Master of Business Administration at the University of Oxford (Brasenose College).
