Enterprise Canada welcomes Matthew Conway as Director, Québec
Enterprise Canada is pleased to welcome Matthew Conway as Director, Québec. Based in Montréal, Matthew will lead the Québec practice, leveraging his deep experience in public affairs and communications and sharp insight into Québec politics and Francophone culture to clients and colleagues nationwide.
“Matthew combines deep policy expertise with true on-the-ground insight into Québec’s political and business landscape,” said Jason Lietaer, President, Enterprise Canada. “His bilingual leadership and proven track record delivering results will strengthen our presence in Québec and help our clients build durable relationships across government, industry and communities.”
Matthews brings over a decade of senior political and public service experience, having advised and helped shape Québec and Francophone policy for multiple federal and provincial Ministers, including serving as Francophone Affairs at Queen’s Park, and as Press Secretary to the President of the Treasury Board and as Québec and Official Languages Advisor to the Minister of Canadian Heritage & Official Languages in Ottawa.
He also has deep ties in Québec politics having previously run as a candidate for the Action démocratique du Québec (ADQ).
Since leaving politics, he has held senior roles in the private sector in government and media relations as well as issues and stakeholder management. He was elected in 2021 to the Conservative Party of Canada’s National Council, where he has served as Vice-President since 2023 and sits on the Party’s National Candidate Selection Committee.
A native and current resident of Montréal, he is fluently bilingual (French and English) and maintains a wide network across Québec’s public and private sectors.
Matthew holds a Bachelor of Law from UQÀM and a Paralegal Technology diploma from O’Sullivan College in Montréal, where he received the Governor General’s Academic Medal in 2005.
