Enterprise Canada Welcomes Erica Meekes as Director, Strategic Communications
Toronto, ON – Enterprise Canada is thrilled to welcome Erica Meekes as Director, Strategic Communications. A senior communications and thought-leadership strategist, Erica brings extensive political and private sector experience in navigating complex, high-profile environments and turning technical or policy-heavy issues into clear, persuasive narratives for decision-makers and the public.
“Erica brings a rare combination of political insight, strategic judgment, and real-world communications experience,” said Will Stewart, Senior Vice President at Enterprise Canada. “She understands how to connect policy, reputation, and business priorities, and she will be a trusted advisor to our clients.”
Before joining Enterprise Canada, Erica led global thought leadership at Geotab, where she developed research-driven campaigns on AI-enabled mobility, fleet safety, and vehicle electrification, helping leaders turn complex data into practical business insight. She also previously served as Director of Public Relations, Events, and Sponsorships at Music Canada, leading national advocacy initiatives with major record labels and producing executive communications for senior leadership.
Earlier in her career, Erica held progressively senior roles in federal and provincial governments, including positions in the Office of the Prime Minister and the Office of the Premier of Ontario, advising ministers and senior officials across multiple portfolios.
At Enterprise Canada, Erica will help clients navigate complex policy and reputational challenges, align communications with business objectives, and build strategies that stand up in high-pressure environments.
Erica holds a Joint Honours degree in Communication and Political Science from the University of Ottawa.
