Enterprise Canada welcomes Tyson Brown as Consultant, Western Canada

Enterprise Canada is pleased to welcome Tyson Brown to its Western practice as a Consultant. Based in Edmonton, Tyson joins Enterprise Canada directly from the Government of Alberta, where he advised the Minister of Primary and Preventative Health Services and the President of the Treasury Board and Minister of Finance. 

“Tyson’s strong political acumen, coupled with his understanding of fiscal and health policy, adds a unique perspective to our team and enhances our ability to serve clients in Alberta and across Western Canada,” said Steven McLelan, Vice President, Western Canada at Enterprise Canada. “Tyson’s experience will be an immediate asset to our clients, supporting them with policy analysis, communications, and strategic advice to help advance their objectives.” 

During his time in government, Tyson helped develop communications related to provincial budgets and health policy, giving him a practical understanding of how complex policy decisions are developed, communicated and implemented. Working across government departments, he developed an ability to translate technical policy into clear, accessible messaging for diverse audiences. 

Born and raised in Wetaskiwin, Alberta, Tyson holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Alberta, where he wrote his undergraduate thesis on the impact of regional politics on Cabinet committees and decision-making processes. He also has extensive campaign experience, having contributed to numerous political campaigns across the Edmonton region. 

In his new role at Enterprise Canada, Tyson will support clients across Western Canada, drawing on his experience to help translate their ideas into policy solutions that resonate with decision-makers and the public.
