COVID-19 Update for June 29, 2020 – 11:50am
At his daily COVID-19 briefing, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced that the Canada Emergency Commercial Rent Assistance program will be extended by one month. This program allows small businesses across the country to pay less in rent.
New COVID-19 Modelling
The Prime Minister advised that updated COVID-19 modelling will be released this afternoon by senior public health officials. He noted that “things are continuing to move in the right direction,” and that the numbers are declining although there are still some hot spots.
Fewer Updates
Trudeau said that he and public health officials will continue to provide updates, but not every day. Instead of daily briefings, there will be updates “a few times a week.”
We hope you are finding these COVID-19 updates useful. In addition to trying to keep on top of the fast-changing situation, Enterprise is also working to support local charities during these challenging times. If you are able, your contributions to this effort would be deeply appreciated.
