COVID-19 Update for July 2, 2020 – 1:40pm

Increased Social Services Funding

Premier Doug Ford and Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing Steve Clark announced today that the government is doubling the investment in the province’s Social Services Relief Fund. There will now be an additional $150 million in new funding to address COVID-related costs, including helping municipalities renovate shelters and prepare for emergencies.

The total funding for social services relief is now more than $350 million.
