COVID-19 Vaccines and Treatment
In addition to doses already received, the federal government has scheduled the delivery of over 200,000 doses of the Pfizer vaccine for next week and 168,000 doses of the Moderna vaccine before the end of December – pending Health Canada approval – according to Trudeau. This comes in advance of the scheduled deliveries in 2021 noted above.
Trudeau also announced an investment of roughly $9 million through the National Research Council of Canada to support the development of treatments for COVID-19. This funding is being awarded to four Canadian companies, located in Montreal and Vancouver.
