COVID-19 Update for December 15 2020 – 1:45PM

Today, Premier Doug Ford held a press conference to talk about further plans for COVID-19 vaccines.

During this announcement, Gen. Rick Hillier highlighted that Ontario is on track to inoculate approximately 3,000 people by the end of this week with the shipment of vaccines that Ontario has already received. During the inoculation visits, the government is scheduling the timing of the second dose of the vaccine in order to ensure that it is properly administered.

Following the Government of Canada’s announcement that they have secured an additional early shipment of Pfizer vaccines, Ontario is anticipating receiving an additional 90,000 vaccines by year end. These vaccines will be administered in over 19 different sites, on top of the sites already being utilized today.
