COVID-19 Update for August 5 2020 – 1:50pm
In his daily update, Ontario Premier Doug Ford announced $83 million for non-profit organizations.
Resilient Communities Fund
The new “Resilient Communities Fund” will provide grants of up to $150,000 for eligible non-profit organizations, including food banks, child and youth programs and Royal Canadian Legion Branches.
The funding comes through the Ontario Trillium Foundation and will assist non-profits in building fundraising capacity, recruiting volunteers, providing physical and mental health supports for staff, developing health and safety plans and buying new equipment.
Applications are now open and have two deadlines: September 2 and December 2.
The government news release can be found online here, and the full eligibility requirements and application process can be found on the Ontario Trillium Foundation website.
