Premier Ford opened his daily remarks by thanking hundreds of nurses during the National Nursing Week, “You are absolutely amazing; you’re the backbone of the healthcare community,” said the Premier. “Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart.”

He also announced that his government has now released over 80 sector-specific health and safety guidelines, including guidelines for retail stores with curbside pickup and delivery services – many of which are open starting today. “My friends, we have come a long way, but we still have a long way to go,” the Premier emphasized. “We are working to get more business up and running again – as safely as we can.”

The government is encouraging all business owners to use the Guidance Document for Essential Workplaces to develop reopening plans that will work for their business and protect workers, customers and the general public, as the province prepares for the gradual reopening of the economy.

The Premier also noted that he will have more to say in the coming days about the next steps his government will be taking for safe reopening of the province.
