  1. Projects on Indigenous peoples land must be majority owned by impacted Indigenous peoples communities;
  2. Projects and decisions must be Indigenous peoples-led, with capacity development including training and jobs made available to local people; and
  3. Corporate partnerships must be built on a foundation of trust and strong, long-term relationships.

Al-Nashir has built successful joint-venture partnerships in various sectors including mining, oil and gas, hydro-power, resource development services and related infrastructure. He was instrumental in developing the first-ever Aboriginal-owned hydro-power generating project in Canada, initiating negotiations paving the way to open Canada’s diamond mining industry.
