Enterprise is looking for a Senior Consultant to join our health practice in Toronto. 

This position is a unique opportunity to work on some of the most challenging and complicated issues facing the country for many of Canada’s largest health companies, government agencies, and associations. We’re looking for a strategic thinker who is talented, motivated and ready to take on exciting work that delivers for our clients, especially in government relations.

A strong understanding of government is a must. Previous experience working in government will be highly valued, along with a keen interest in the political process and being passionate about public policy.

Location: Toronto 

Salary: $80,000 – $110,000

In-office requirements: Hybrid 

Core  Responsibilities: 

  • Lead government engagement, public affairs, and advocacy strategies for health care clients in Ontario.
  • Lobby directly on behalf of clients.
  • Build relationships with clients at an executive level to develop, foster and sustain relationships.
  • Build and maintain relationships with government officials and decision-makers.
  • Contribute to business development opportunities, including proactive networking and business development, pitches, proposals and RFP responses.
  • Effectively manage and resolve issues from clients and internal teams.
  • Stay up-to-date on current events, politics and public policy issues in health care.
  • Ensure compliance with all lobbying and ethics requirements for public affairs professionals. 

Requirements  

  • Demonstrated experience in politics, government relations or public affairs.
  • Knowledge of government structures and policy-making processes, especially in Ontario.
  • Strong network within government.
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with clients.
  • Proven ability to think critically and provide strategic advice to clients and team members.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute government relations and advocacy strategies.
  • Proven ability to lead client files and oversee key deliverables.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and lead teams effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A developed ability to provide strategic advice to clients.
  • Well versed on current affairs, political actors and major public policy files in Ontario.
