
Margaret Martin is a veteran project manager, across a wide range of disciplines. For more than 12 years she has been Enterprise Canada’s point person on numerous communications and event management projects.
An excellent relationship builder, Margaret's ability to remain calm and organized even in hectic situations makes her a vital member of project teams.
Margaret joined Enterprise Canada after more than a decade in Ontario politics, where she developed an in-depth understanding of how political parties and governments operate. She worked at Queen's Park from 1986 to 1998, including serving as special assistant and MPP liaison to Ontario's Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing from 1995 to 1998. Her experience also included supervising projects and serving as assistant to the director of the Progressive Conservative Service Bureau. She has worked on numerous election and leadership campaigns, beginning with the 1984 federal election, where she was involved in media tracking and the youth campaign at Progressive Conservative campaign headquarters.
An active volunteer, Margaret served as Chair of the Polycultural Immigrant and Community Services Board, as a director of the Polish Canadian Congress, the Polish Combatants' National Executive and the High Park Centennial Montessori School Parent Association, and as a member of the Toronto Early Years Committee. She is currently a Resident Assistant at Copernicus Lodge Seniors Residence and Long-Term Care and a member of the Parent Committee of St. Michael's College Boy School.
